English Composition 2 (3254): April 21 (240-430)

I passed-out the syllabus; this will be discussed on Monday IN THE CLASSROOM. If you need me before then, email or call--it is ON THE SYLLABUS! :)

We discussed the differences between Composition 1 and Composition 2--BRIEFLY; we will do this more on Monday.

We read pages 3-5 in the text, as an introduction.

We reviewed MLA format.

Students then read the essay "Wolf" (You can obtain another essay from me in 405) and answered questions on a worksheet pertaining to the essay.

Then students completed a diagnostic 5-paragraph essay based upon question 6. on the worksheet for "Wolf".

If you did not finish you DIAGNOSTIC ESSAY, it is due on MONDAY--NEXT CLASS! :)

About Me

My basic social character is that of thirty year-old, rambunctious and FULL of energy, 5’3”, red haired, green eyed, sportier of retro/ colorful clothing who lives in an old Victorian house. I teach Critical Thinking, English Composition, and Effective Speech at Pittsburgh Technical Institute (PTI), and I was born in Pittsburgh, but raised in Butler, PA; I was formerly a senior high school English teacher who taught British Literature to seniors for four and a half years at Butler Area Senior High School (BSHS, Butler, PA). I have been teaching college classes since 2008, when I graduated with my Master's degree in Instructional Leadership and English.
