What are your views on Shakespeare? Does Shakespeare present themes that are old and outdated? Why? Why not? Does his use of specific language emphasize his points or hinder them? What are some assumptions and/ or expectations you have as we turn towards Renaissance literature and Shakespearean theatre? Please support any opinionated responses with specific examples.

About Me

My basic social character is that of thirty year-old, rambunctious and FULL of energy, 5’3”, red haired, green eyed, sportier of retro/ colorful clothing who lives in an old Victorian house. I teach Critical Thinking, English Composition, and Effective Speech at Pittsburgh Technical Institute (PTI), and I was born in Pittsburgh, but raised in Butler, PA; I was formerly a senior high school English teacher who taught British Literature to seniors for four and a half years at Butler Area Senior High School (BSHS, Butler, PA).
